ANALISIS KINERJA SIMPANG TAK BERSINYAL (JL. KALIERANG KABUPATEN WONOSOBO)

Traffic jams often occur on roads and intersections because the increasing traffic volume is one of the inhibiting factors, the Kalierang road intersection has a traffic pattern setting that is not optimal and the traffic flow at this intersection can be quite dense. This study aims to analyze the capacity and performance of unsignalized intersections at the intersection of three Kalierang roads. This research method is carried out by surveying and collecting data directly in the field, then data analysis is carried out with reference using the Indonesian Road Capacity Manual (MKJI) 1997. Based on the results of the analysis, the vehicle capacity was obtained at 2970 smp/hour, with a saturation degree value (DS) = 0.82 and occurred during the afternoon peak hours. The Service Level Index (ITP) value based on delays at this intersection is included in the good category (B) with the value of queue opportunities ranging from 29.70%-58.65%. From these results, it is necessary to make follow-up efforts by installing and regulating the time of traffic lights at the intersection.
