Abstract

This research is motivated by the importance of implementing Human Resource Management (HRM) in improving the quality of employee performance in Hajj and Umrah travel service companies. PT. Sutra Tour Hidayah Jember Regency as a pilgrimage travel agency is required to have professional, competent human resources and able to provide optimal service to pilgrims. This study aims to analyze the implementation of HRM at PT. Sutra Tour Hidayah which includes job descriptions, job specifications, recruitment and placement systems, employee training, career planning, performance appraisals, compensation, leadership, work motivation, conflict and work stress, and occupational safety and health (K3). The research method used is descriptive qualitative with data collection techniques through field studies, interviews, observations, and documentation. The results of the study indicate that PT. Sutra Tour Hidayah has implemented an HRM system in a fairly systematic and structured manner through a clear division of tasks, a selective recruitment process, ongoing training programs, and a measurable performance appraisal system. The company also applies financial and non-financial compensation systems, transformational and religious leadership styles, and spiritual and material-based work motivation. Furthermore, the company prioritizes OHS aspects by providing travel insurance, health checks, and vaccinations for employees assisting pilgrims. The implementation of HRM has implications for increased professionalism, productivity, and service quality, as well as the formation of an Islamic, professional, and humanistic work culture, thereby strengthening the company's competitiveness in the Hajj and Umrah travel industry.
